Edward Lansdale was a CIA operative, a supporter of Ngô Đình Diệm, and an important presence in South Vietnamese military and political life in the mid-1950s. A former advertising executive, Lansdale assisted the Diệm regime in creating a propaganda campaign to encourage the migration of people from North to South Vietnam.6 Records
